Liberty Village, Toronto’s thriving innovation hub, is home to over 600 businesses, restaurants, and retailers – not to mention a growing community of residents. The BIA works non-stop to provide us with a safe and engaging environment, to promote economic development within our community, and to represent us politically. Arguably their most impactful project is the annual Give Me Liberty After Work Party: an outdoor block party showcasing local businesses and providing employees and residents with an opportunity to socialize, network, and celebrate.
To ensure the 2016 block party would be bigger and better, the BIA partnered with Sage Wow to create a pre-event advertising campaign attracting residents and businesses to participate in the event and marketing collateral to be used during and after the event to leave a lasting impression.

We developed a vibrant, artistic, and modern aesthetic that branded the 2016 Give Me Liberty event, and carried it through posters, bus stop billboard advertisements, event banners and tents, drink tickets, coasters, and thank-you plaques. The 2016 event drew the largest numbers of vendors and attendees to date, far exceeding the BIA’s expectations. The streets flooded with local professionals, neighborhood residents, and even Toronto sports teams. Feelings of community, inspiration, and innovation carried through the night and into the following year of life in Liberty Village.
